The CORD staff provides governmental and educational leaders with tools to assess current educational conditions and identify gaps between educational supply and demand that may be hindering economic development. CORD’s curriculum resources and contextual teaching approach offer tools and techniques for preparing a broad majority of students for success in college and careers.

CORD's International Experience

After more than 25 years of international experience, CORD has learned that no single approach to education works in every culture but that any effort toward education reform will be more effective when based on three main components: 1) carefully crafted curriculum; 2) professional learning seen as a process, not an event; and 3) strong community partnerships.

Many nations are discovering the need for a world-class workforce and the need to link education to skills required at work. CORD has experience taking career pathways models abroad and developing similar programs that address the unique workforce development needs of other countries. With funding from organizations such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the United States Agency for International Development, as well as from foreign governments, CORD has participated in significant education reform initiatives around the world.
