Transform Your Employer Partnerships with the BILT Academy for Manufacturing

The Business & Industry Leadership Team (BILT) model puts businesses in a co-leadership role for community college technical programs. BILTs leverage deep employer insights to drive program relevance and shape curriculum that directly addresses evolving industry needs. CORD’s BILT Academy® helps college teams implement the NSF-supported BILT model, a proven method for strategic employer engagement. CORD and the National Center for Next-Gen Manufacturing are excited to launch a BILT Academy® cohort just for manufacturing programs this fall.

Through the BILT Academy®, you’ll learn how to transform your advisory board into an action-oriented partnership that reshapes your local manufacturing talent pipeline.

BILT Academy® Teams Benefit from:

  • Cohort-based training on each step of the BILT Annual Cycle
  • One-on-one coaching sessions to customize BILT adoption for your program
  • On-demand access to BILT templates and tech tools
  • Expert facilitation of a KSA analysis to identify high-priority industry skills and ensure your curriculum is tightly aligned to employer needs
  • No cost for teams selected to participate

BILT Academy® Dates: October 2026 – May 2027
